  • Curly Ends
  • Face Framing

How it is done

  1. 10:00Use pre-made locs in three lengths (14, 18 and 22 inches) for a layered look.
  2. 20:32Part a clean middle part at the front; the rest can be finger-parted into rows.
  3. 30:59Start the longest locs at the back, unravelling each slightly so it wraps easily.
  4. 40:59Split a section into three, put the loc on one piece and braid down a little.
  5. 51:28Split one piece into two and twist the rest of the way down — easier to take out later.
  6. 63:10Move to the 18-inch locs in the middle and 14-inch at the front for layers.
  7. 74:25Unravel the loc and wrap it around your twist in the direction it wants to tighten.
  8. 84:25When you reach the curly end, hold it in your free hand while you finish wrapping.
  9. 95:43Fluff the top of each loc for volume, and attach to two of three pieces at a thin hairline to reduce tension.
