For stylists

Be the chair she books
after she saves the look.

BLK GLO users save a style first and look for someone who can do it second. That is the moment your listing shows up in. The app's directory already carries 8,162 hair businesses across 1610 cities — yours may be one of them.

The first button opens the BLK GLO app if you have it. Email reaches us either way.

Claim a listing that is already there

If your business is already in the app’s directory, it is marked unclaimed and cannot be booked yet. Claiming it makes it yours. To have it removed instead, email support@blkglo.com with the business name and city.

  1. 1

    Find your listing

Search the directory in the app by your business name and city.

  2. 2

    Tap “Is this your business?”

Your details are already filled in, so you only fix what is wrong. We send a quick code to confirm the business is yours.

  3. 3

    Set your service menu

Each service gets a name, a starting price and a duration. Prices are what clients see, so they are yours to set.

  4. 4

Booking turns on — run it from My business

The unclaimed label comes off and the Request to Book button appears. The My business dashboard in the app lets you confirm, complete or mark no-shows, set services, prices and availability, and see your reviews and the looks clients tag you in.

How bookings and deposits work

A deposit exists for one reason: a no-show costs you a six-hour slot you could have filled. Here is what your clients see.

She picks a time — on your hours
Clients only see the times you are open, in your city's time.
A 30% deposit up front
The deposit is 30% of your listed starting price, paid when she books.
You confirm every booking
A new booking waits for you to accept it. Nothing lands on your calendar without your say.
A clear cancellation policy
48 hours or more before the appointment: full deposit refunded. Between 24 and 48 hours: half. Under 24 hours: none. Clients see this before they pay.
Reviews only from real appointments
Clients can review you once you mark the appointment done — so nobody who never showed up can leave you a review.
How you get paid: deposits go to your own Stripe account, set up in the app in a few minutes. BLK GLO keeps 10% of each deposit. You should know that before you list, not after.

Questions stylists actually ask

What does it cost to be listed?
Listing, claiming and taking bookings are free. When a client books you with a deposit, BLK GLO keeps 10% of that deposit; the rest is paid to you. An optional Stylist Pro plan is coming to the app: it lowers that fee to 5% and lets you set your own deposit.
Why is my business already on here?
We started the directory from public business listings so clients can find you even before you join. Until you claim it, your listing is marked unclaimed, cannot be booked, and says plainly that BLK GLO has no relationship with you. Ask us and we will correct it or take it down.
Can clients book me before I claim it?
No. An unclaimed listing has no service menu and no booking button — clients only get your phone number and website. Booking turns on when you claim the listing and set your services.
Who holds the deposit?
You do. You connect a bank account through Stripe in the app, and each deposit is paid to your Stripe account minus BLK GLO's 10%. Refunds under the cancellation policy come back out of it the same way. Until payouts are set up, clients see your number to call instead of a Book button.
How do I get taken off?
Email support@blkglo.com with the business name and city and we will remove the listing.

Read the Terms — the directory connects clients with independent stylists, and BLK GLO is not the provider of your services.
