Terms of Service

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
• You're responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, hateful, harassing, or infringing content, or impersonate others.
• Upload content you don't have the rights to share.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services, or attempt to access them in unauthorized ways.

Community rules

BLK GLO has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post nudity or sexual content, content showing a child, harassment, hate, threats, spam, or photos that are not yours to share.

Every look is reviewed before it is public, and you can report any look, comment or person, or block anyone, from the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove people who post it.

Your content

You keep ownership of looks, photos, and reviews you post. You grant BLK GLO a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content to operate and promote the Services. You're responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that violates these Terms.

Sharing photos on our website

You must be 18 or older to share photos at blkglo.com/share or blkglo.app/share. Only share a photo you took yourself or have the photographer's permission to share, and only of yourself or of someone 18 or older who has given you permission to share it. Never share a photo of anyone under 18.

You keep ownership of the photos you share. You give BLK GLO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to show them in the app, on blkglo.com and blkglo.app, and on BLK GLO's social media accounts, credited the way you chose, with products for the style shown next to them. Being featured is the only reward; we do not pay for photos.

We review every photo and may decline any photo without giving a reason. Sharing a photo does not mean it will be featured.

You can ask us to remove a photo you shared at any time by emailing privacy@blkglo.com; we remove it within 2 business days. If a photo on BLK GLO is yours or shows you and you did not agree to it being shared, email the same address and we will take it down.

Purchases are fulfilled and charged by third-party retailers and our payment provider; their terms apply. Prices and availability can change and are not guaranteed.

The products shown with a look are our suggestions for getting that style. They are not necessarily what the person in the photo used, and the people shown in looks, including models in licensed stock photos, are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, the products or brands shown next to them.

Stylist bookings

The directory connects you with independent stylists; BLK GLO is not the provider of those services and isn't responsible for them. Bookings, cancellations, and refunds follow the policy shown at the time of booking.

Deposits are processed by Stripe and paid to the stylist's own Stripe account; BLK GLO keeps a platform fee of 10% of each deposit, or 5% for stylists on Stylist Pro, and never less than the card processing cost of that deposit (2.9% + 30¢), up to the whole deposit. The deposit is 30% of the service price, unless the stylist is on Stylist Pro and has set a different share, which the booking screen shows before you pay. Stylists who take deposits agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement when they set up payouts. Refunds under the cancellation policy are taken back from the stylist's share and BLK GLO's fee in proportion.

Stylist Pro

Stylist Pro is an optional subscription for stylists with a claimed listing. It is bought in the app through Google Play or the App Store, which charge it to your store account. It renews automatically each month at the price shown before you subscribe until you cancel.

If a free trial is offered (for example, 3 months free for our first 100 Pro stylists), you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Google Play's or Apple's refund policies.

While Pro is active, BLK GLO's fee on your deposits is 5% instead of 10% (never less than the card processing cost of the deposit), and you can set your own deposit share from 10% to 100% of the service price. If Pro ends, new bookings go back to the standard 30% deposit and 10% fee; bookings already made keep their deposit. We may change Pro's price or features with notice before your next renewal.

Disclaimers & liability

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BLK GLO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services and our users.

Copyright and DMCA

We respect copyright and respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe something on BLK GLO infringes your copyright, email support@blkglo.com with the subject “Copyright notice”, or write to our designated agent: Solomon Dev Studio LLC, 6701 Corporate Dr, Ste N, Johnston, IA 50131, USA.

Your notice must include (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)): your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the material you want removed and where it is on BLK GLO (a link or enough detail for us to find it); your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

If we remove your content after a notice and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the material removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any district where BLK GLO may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date; continued use means you accept the changes.
